Developer Log #34: HOLY FFFFFIRE


It's literally 6 days away.

Ok, maybe I might change to November 21, just to fit in a better time to finish the demo, because you know. It's the time for the 35th by then, which is accompanied by its own video.

Which I'm hoping to plan is where the trailer starts.

So far, my own adventure was quite stressful. I've got a lot heading my way, but here's a list I plan to at least have done by the time next week arrives.

  • Main menu, smaller animations for transitions
  • Potions need to be operational.
  • Please, please, PLEASE figure out if you can use skills before combat begins
  • Add a bit more dialogue. 
  • Bug. Fixes. And a Lot of them.

...All within 7 days now. Oh my goodness.

I will note that this is mainly also for the purpose of having a nice project to be on my portfolio page for other purposes. With that in mind, I still will continue to update this game periodically and attempt to make the demo... pleasing enough. 

I do hate the idea of releasing an unfinished product, but I plan to keep updating the demo slightly over time. The rest of it is planned to be updated fully and released next year, by the time Slice of Them is fully released on Steam, and here too. 

Just a dollar, but I've got a $100 debt to make if this actually ends up going on Steam. Pray for my ass.

Anyways, I will plan to work as hard as I can to make this demo project as good as I can. I do plan to somehow include a 5-minute timer to play the game, after which it'll automatically lock you from playing anymore.

Really bad way to end it, but it's probably my best bet.

With that even more in mind, I also plan to focus on hopefully making an opperational discord server, for you comitted people to see my progress and whatnot. I said I'd plan on it, but it was always just empty and crickets, because I just didn't consider making a discord serrver fully work. But I might make changes once the demo comes out.

That was a lot to say from me, but I'm excited to see how this demo comes out. Even if it's undone, I hope to see its results and plan to hear from you all about its progress, fun, and most importantly, bugs!
